Tribute to Hazard "Buz" E. Reeves 4RZ / W2HJR / K2GL
July 6, 1906 - December 23, 1986

Hazard E. Reeves was a communications entrepreneur who helped popularize the wide-screen Cinerama film system and magnetic stereophonic recording. He lived in Tuxedo Park, NY and became a sk at 80 years old. Mr. Reeves, a leader in the electronics field, helped make popular the use of quartz crystals for radio transmitters, and, in a departure from communications, helped market the Waring Blendor, one of the first home blenders. He also helped to develop Realtron, the first company that offered computerized real-estate listings nationwide, and Catalogia, said to be the world's first computerized multi-catalogue shopping system.

Buzz built a world class contest station and used the call N2AA. Buzz was always loud on the bands and won many competitions. At the time, Buzz had the largest ham radio station on the east coast.
He was a personal friend of Mr. Collins of Collins Radio.

Buzz is a member of the CQ Contest Hall of Fame.
