Ed was a well-known contester from Brooksville, Florida. He was 83. Ed was an ARRL Charter Life Member. He ran the world's top multi-multi contest station on the shore of the Potomac River just south of Washington, DC. Many of the top contesters in the US got their start in serious contesting at W3MSK / W3AU. Ed is a member of the Contest Hall of Fame.
