Tribute to Francis Moger W8KAK
May 19, 1930 - March 18, 2001

Frank loved Ten Meters, could be found there on CW and SSB with his station and home brew beam. Frank liked my Kenwood TS850S so much that be bought one too. He enjoyed the local gang in Newton Falls, Ohio and gatherings at the Covered Bridge Restaurant. He went after lively conversations concerning the technical side of electronics. Just before Frank died, I showed him how ancestry research could be accomplished and he spent a few days in my shack enjoying the research on Ancestry Dot Com.. I asked him "How do U keep your weight down?" He replied, I just consume breakfast cereal not much else being single. One of the things I recall about Frank was his extensive knowledge of W3CRA Frank Lucas a Pennsylvania regional big gun. Frank and a local group went down to Mecca one summer years ago when Moger was a young ham and spent the day at the fabled W3CRA QTH on the side of the hill. Moger died far too young at age 70 in 2001. W8SU 2019
