On July 17, 1960, coincidental with the ARRL West Gulf Convention, the reknown West Gulf DX Club held its annual official election.
Out went retiring president W5CEW, vice-president W5VU, and secretary-treasurer W5PM.
In came the new president W5VU.
The West Gulf Convention was a big success with around 700 attending!
