Hara Arena in Trotwood, Ohio, May 27, 2019

Hara Arena and Trotwood, Ohio suffered extensive damage when tornadoes and severe storms moved through on Memorial Day.

Hara Arena was the site of the Dayton Hamvention from 1964 until 2016. It was closed later in 2016 due to unpaid taxes and needing many repairs.

The Dayton Hamvention was moved to the Greene County Fairgrounds in Xenia, Ohio starting in 2017.

Hara Arena held a place in the hearts of many Hamvention go'ers. The place needed lots of work but held a mystic appeal to the large group of hams that attended each year.
