The W8GFG Field Day Crew June
24, 1972
Rutledge Road, Transfer, PA.
This was the origional Rutlege
Road Field Day Group.
Drew W8GFG knew the farmer across the street and let us operate
several field days there.
There was this old storage shed, a dilapidated
milk house, and a silo that was losing bricks.
We operated from tents, the milk house, and the storage shed. We
hung antennas from the silo, trees, and put up towers.
This was an ideal location, way up on a hill, noise free and in
the open.
Several field days were also operated in an adjacent field.
