K2JHW Classic Cartoon "The DXers Dream"
Used on QSL cards by many hams.

We are trying to find out some information on K2JHW. He isn't listed in the 1956 callbook but I have K2JHW in Fall 1962 callbook as:
William R. Brown K2JHW
422 Old Bridge Rd.
East Northport, NY
I first was given a poor Xerox of this cartoon in about 1968, so I know it dates back at least that far. What I'm trying to find out, just because my curiosity is aroused, is its origin. When was it drawn? Where and when was it published? If not published anywhere, how did it get into circulation? What is K2JHW's current call or is he a silent key? He was no longer listed in the 1980 callbook.
