The International Order of Old Bastards (I.O.O.B.) is a veterans' social club, founded by Australians and allied forces active during the Second World War.
Today, there are many groups operating under the name "Old Bastards" across North America and Australia, existing under varying jurisdictional authorities (or none at all).

Geo W1GAC was a classic ham, builder and good technical mind, he is missed on the bands.

WHEREAS: My Special Adjutant for Cyberspace Operations, Sean McCullough O.B. has informed me that you, THOMAS ROSCOE K8CX, qualify for the grade and status of the Order of OLD BASTARD, by way of your rotten luck with Women, and by other such Qualifications as provided for by the By-Laws of the I.B.O.B."
