1st page showing W4QAW from the FCC as QSO #1. In your HamGallery story written by Chester, he stated that W4QAW of the FCC gave the OK if he could be the 1st qso....and you can see by the first page of the log that I scanned , it appears he was indeed ! ......QSL Manager W1YRC is #3 in the log. Also W3CRA Frank Lucas & W8BT (W8AH) Al Hix made the 1st log page. Operators at XV5AC were Don Riebhoff K7CBZ (K7ZZ), Fred Laun W9SZR (now K3ZO), Chester Lunsford W4EVG, Dick Klein K4GKD (now N9CM), Father Marshall Moran 9N1MM, Gary WA4NMU, Bill Schneider K2UYG (now K2TT) and possibly several other operators around Siagon that would take turns with the callsign.

Greg KX4R also noted some other known DXers in the logs:
W7PHO Bill Bennet was there quite a few times, W3AZD Don Search, 9N1MM, VS6DR, W6AM, VS6DO, WA3HUP Mary Ann Crider, W4QCW, W8MPW mamma papa whiskey, K4MQG, K4SMX Stew Woodward...(went to Spratly too), W9KNI Bob Locher, KV4AA Dick Spencely, K8MFO Don Karvonen, W8AH (with his fresh new call in Oct 72), K4EZ Ben, K4RPK Lee, K6MYC Mike Stahl of KLM / M2 fame.
