W7LBD, ex-W8KTY - Halbert Thompson “Hal” Cupps, 92, a retired Foreign Service employee of the Voice of America, died 14 February 2008 in Scottsdale, AZ. He served in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He retired in 1973. He was an avid ham radio operator and Rotarian. In his 80's, he became interested in personal computers.
