This unmarked photo was found in an old box of QSL cards that someone sent me. Going by the age of the equipment, the operators are probably SK. You can see a callsign displayed above the meter on the transmitter. It looks like W9AQB, or perhaps W9AGB.

Tom, the unknown photo you have posted it is either W9AOD who was
Orville Hampton, Glen Ellyn, IL, or possibly W9AQD James Thomson
Chicago, IL, Glen Ellyn is a sub of Chicago area, out of a 1936
call book. The district is not in the 10th district because there
was no Tenth then. Some tone adjustments brought out a lot of the
lettering.
If it is W9AOB, I have a QSL card. This guy W9AOB is
using type 210 same as in the picture! The unknown picture shows
the board built layout that was the style of building in the
1930's.

Browsing through the Gallery today and came across your
"Mystery Photo" of either W9AOB or W9AQD. Turns out I
have a 1931 W9AQD card in my prewar group
inquiring about a chess game invitation posted in QST. If there'd
been a chessboard on that table in the photo, I'd've said the
mystery was solved, hi, but that suffix does look a lot like a
"B."
Happy New Year and Vy 73.
