SS Newona

H. S. Dawson, the operator of CR10, sailed on ships in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. His home was in Montreal, Canada. According to the June 1928 Radio Amateur Call Book Magazine, H. S. Dawson, CR10, was operating from the SS Newona. The Newona was launched in 1909 by Swan, Hunter, & Wigham Richardson, Ltd., Wallsend and Walking-on-Tyne, England. During the period 1911-1915 the Newona was owned or operated by Canada Atlantic Transit Company, Ltd. of Montreal, Canada.
