This expedition leader, Dr. Hans Hass, has an interesting history. The photo on the card is of Hans Hass and his second wife, Charlotte "Lotte" Baierl. The card is from his 1953/54 expedition aboard the Research Ship Xarifa to Azores, Caribbean, and Galapagos.They went to the Maldive and Nicobar Islands during 1957-1958.
