This is a reply to a listener report, although the card is made out for two-way contacts. It comes from the Chief Telegraphist of the ship.

The ship was in the Red Sea when heard, and the card was made out when she arrived at Malta.
The note on the back says -" have been down with malaria since we arrived at Malta, and am only just taking notice again "

H.M.S. Hermes was the world's first ship to be designed as an aircraft carrier.
