W9HD/MM 1980

The crude oil tanker SS Cove Ranger was scrapped in 1983.
The SS Cove Ranger had aliases under different ownership - such as M.L.Gosney, Thomas M and finally Cove Ranger.

W9HD went SK at the end of the first gulf war - he collapsed while working for the merchant marine (radio operator) in port in Saudi Arabia. He's buried in Bloomfield.
W9HD was born 1914, SK 1991.
He didn't know how to retire. He retired from the Navy, then from Civil Service, but was still working (77 years old) when he passed.
