Ellsworth Antarctic Expedition

The "commercial operator" of the expedition was Frederick Christian "Fred" Seid, W2MQ, later W4LG.
He was a maritime radio operator until the early 1950s, then dropped out of sight and is no longer listed in callbooks.
He was born November 16, 1906 in New York and became a Silent Key June 1977 in Nederland, Texas.
