OE13HP 1951 Austria

OE13 was the special prefix for US personal in Austria.

The operator of OE13HP was Harold F. "Hal" Potter, W7MYG. Hal was first licensed as W7MYG in December, 1948.
He operated in 1951-52 as OE13HP from Linz and Salzburg, Austria while stationed there in U. S. Army.
He upgraded to Extra in November, 1977 and received his present call of K7RQ in February 1978.
He worked 22 years in broadcast engineering, then 24 years in the avionics business before retiring in 1991.
He also enjoyed other pastimes of hunting and fishing, flying, RV travel, mobile antenna construction, (see QST article, Nov. 2013) and homebrewing ham gear.
He likes chasing DX, mostly on CW.
