W8QEN/CT2 1946 Terceira Island, Azores

J. P. Loboda W8QEN was in the US Navy operating portable CT2. His QSO on twenty meters was with W8JIN Jim Ringland, from Cincinnati, OH. W8QEN got out of the Navy due to expiration of enlistment. He became W3QEN and was listed in the 1953 call book living in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born 20 July 1916 and died at age 56 in Lorain, OH on 8 December 1972. He is burial in Pleasant Hills, Alleghany County Pennsylvania.
