KF6/K6OWR 1939 Canton Island

Thomas Wright Bedernan, K6OWR and K6OWR/KF6, was not licensed after World War II.
He was born February 5, 1921 in Hawaii and died March 26,1999 in Grant, New Mexico.
He was a Radioman First Class in the U.S. Coast guard during World War II.
K6OWR/KF6 was one of six rescued from Howland and Baker Islands.
KF6OQS was killed during a Japanese air raid.
