U2CES 1984 Belarus
Commemoration of Elena Stempkovsky.
Born near Minsk in Belarus; her parents moved later to Tashkent in Uzbekistan, where she trained as a radio operator. She took part in the Battle of Stalingrad in World War II. She was arrested, tortured and executed by the Nazis, and posthumously awarded "Hero of the Soviet Union" after the end of the war.
On the back of the card are signatures of presumably five operators of the station, and a rubber stamp - UA4IC op. Arkhady Stempkovsky - perhaps a relative, although that call has been re-issued.
