9M8HG 1979 Sarawak, East Malaysia
Here is a marvelous DX'er true
gentleman and always kind to the ones who needed a new one.
Horace Gray from Kuching E. Malaysia. Born in
1898 Horace was responsible for establishing the first
continuous telephone line stretching 600 km from Kuching to the
Baram.
He then would join the new wireless telegraph and telephone
department as an operator.
Horace won the World DX Contest in 1932 running only 5 watts.
As a surprise he would mail you his QSL via registered mail and
some outstanding postage affixed to the envelopes.
I remember the QSO still this present day! Blessings my friend,
RIP Horace.
