G2LW 1927 England

I have just found the QSL card from G2LW in your collection. My reason for searching is that Fred Lawrence, who held that callsign, was a founder member of my radio club, Crystal Palace Radio & Electronics Club, and left his callsign to the club when he became a silent key some years back. I am the newsletter editor for the club and have been a member since 1957.

The Crystal Palace Radio & Electronics Club was first formed as the Crystal Palace & District Radio Club in 1956 as a spin-off from the Norwood & London RSGB Group and I first joined in 1957 as a teenager. In the early years Fred was Treasurer (keeper of the money bag) and also very active supporting the club on field days.
