Operator: "Wild Bill" William Pickard

QSL from the Pacusan Dreamboat for QSO with G8KP - this was the world record flight Oahu-Cairo over the Pole in 1946. Bill G8KP was the only operator either side of the Atlantic to raise the Dreamboat from a CQ - all other contacts were from calling the station.

The scan comes from a write-up in Short Wave Magazineat the time. I was given Bill's cards and certificates after he was SK, but the original card for this one was not there. Only two G stations made a contact.
