UA3ADY 1977 European Russia

Launched on June 7, 1971 this QSL shows the Soviet spacecraft SOYUZ 11 approaching the SALYUT 1 space station, the first of its kind to operate from orbit. The mission suffered from numerous problems and finally tragedy struck when the cosmonauts died upon re-entry after a pressure valve released the capsules air supply while descending.
