The operator was Lt. Col. Floyd E. Becker, W6RJY, U.S. Army.
He graduated from University of California Berkeley with a degree in Chemistry. After the war he was employed at Mare Island as a nuclear power engineer for 32 years.
He was born June 9, 1922 in California and became a Silent Key April 27, 2009.
