Lt. Col. Ursel Carl "Russ" Nolte, U.S. Air Force (Retired), W6VRF, ex-W6VRJ/KG6, K6FAJ, KG6ZC, W9LDX, K2EQT and possibly other call signs.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army April 9, 1942 and requested Air Corps.
He was manager of Ground Systems for Aerospace Corporation in 1972.
He was born March 6, 1916 in Buckeye, Iowa, and died February 26, 2008.
His call sign, W6VRF, is now licensed to his grandson, Sean M. Yunt.
