HR5C 1938 Honduras

This is an undercover QSL. The message is printed on the QSL card; "QSL in plain envelope without call letters as we are not licensed as AMATEURS."

Both operators were U.S. citizens.

Everett Clifton Connell, Silent Key (1902-1993). No record of having an amateur radio license in the U.S. In 1930 he was employed as an electrical engineer at a silver mine in New Mexico.

Theordore Albert Knabe, Silent Key (1907-1987). No record of having an amateur radio in license in the U.S.

Pre WWII cards from Honduras are rare!
