I1TKO 1937 Italy

"Pirate of the Land and of the Sea"

A google search finds, in the DX column of November 1937 "American Radio" magazine (American Radio History Archives) - " W3EVT says that I1TKO is in Washington and that for any of the fellows that have worked him to send their cards to W3EVT, East Falls Church, Virginia and he will see that I1TKO gets them. I1TKO says that he has plenty of QSL cards printed but was unable to get more than two pages of his log out of Italy ".

Now, the card says " QSL c/o W3EZN " - was W3EZN the operator ? There is no name or city location on the card, and I can't make out the signature.

But the 1938 American Call-Book shows-
W3EZN — Wm. W. Brantley, Coast Artillery Armory,
SW Water & O Sts., Washington, D. O.

On top of the card is written, in Italian, " fascist era " Well, Italy had been, under Mussolini, for a long time. So why the mention ?

The Italian wording under " Radio " translates as "Stone cradle of my ancestors". "Veloce-dona" doesn't make sense, but google translate can't do it either.

Note - Although in Italy, the time is shown in E.S.T.
