In 1960 Gus Browning made a dxpedition to CAMPIONE D'ITALIA, using the call IC1IN.

On December 27 - 30, 1989 Paul Bavassano I1RBJ recreated this dxpedition, and his QSL card is in the style of the "standard" Dxpedition of the Month " cards from the 1960's.

Campione d'Italia, on the shores of Lake Lugano, is "a little piece of Italy on the shores of Lake Lugano entirely surrounded by Swiss territory".
