K6NYD/KE6 1940 Puka Pinnacle, Johnston Reef

Lt. Comdr. Archibald Wilson Greenlee, U.S. Navy, W4HGN, ex-K6NYD and K6NYD/KE6.
He was a graduate of the class of 1932, U.S. Naval Academy.

Lt. Comdr. Archibald Greenlee and Pfc. Douglas N. Blodgett were lost at sea during a training flight.
The accident was reported by officials at the Jacksonville, Florida naval air station.
Four days after the tragedy no trace of the men or their plane had been found.

He was born February 20, 1911, and died April 16, 1943 (Lost at sea).
