W5GXX Warren G. Compton

Note on back of card: "Better late than never. My call is now W6WDO, working 75 FONE..." The card was postmarked Sept. 10, 1946, Encino, California.

He was still W6WDO in 1969, but not in 1983. A Warren G. Compton died in California in 2004, but I cannot prove it is him.
