3B1AD Mauritius Island

The 3B1AD was a special call given to Mauritius Amateur on the occasion of a yacht race Mauritius / South Africa on the Festival of the independance of Mauritius.

I started about early 1938 from the Chagos. I went back to Mauritius early 1939. I joined the Royal Navy early 1940 and was sent back to Diego Garcia (Chagos) in charge of a Secret Station. I was transfered after 2 and half years to Mauritius in the secret services up to the end of the war. I am now 94 (Oct. 2011) and still going strong HI !!!!!
