The operator was William Henry “Bill” Leavitt, born March 24, 1907 in New Hampshire.
He became a Silent Key October 1, 1967 in California.
In 1930, while stationed with the U.S. Army at Fort Ruger, Honolulu, Hawaii he held two calls -- K6BOE and K6DQF.
In 1958 he was licensed with the call K6UYI in Belmont, California.
