Mac was very active from July 19, 1958 to mid June 1959 from Gooney Bird Isle, Midway Island with the station, after 7 years in the Pacific.

Mac's station was a Viking Valiant with about 275 watts on CW and 200 on phone, Hallicrafters SX-101 receiver.

Mac used this Mosley tribander at KM6BL
