CN8AC 1960 Morocco

This one is from Tony Jordan, CN8AC. Tony was my landlady's daughter's boyfriend when we lived in Morocco. He introduced me to Prince Moulay Hassan, CN8MH at the local club. Moulay Hassan became king in 1961 after his father Mohammad V died. Moulay Hassan died in 1999 and his son is now king. Moulay Hassan had two brothers who were also hams who are now sk.

This photo was taken in December of 1959 at the home of CN8MT Abdel Hamid Talby. CN8MT is on the left and Tony Jordan, CN8AC, is on the right. The rig is home brew and features a Geloso VFO driving something. It had a modulator on the second deck and power supply on the bottom, was AM and CW on all bands, and ran around 300 watts.
