Carl O. Wyman enlisted in the U.S.Marine Corps on October 22, 1926. Before joining the Marine Corps he was a commercial telegraph operator in Michigan. He was the chief operator at NN7NIC in Managua, Nicaragua in 1928. He rose to the rank of Colonel in the Marine Corps. He was an ionosphere scientist at Little America V in 1957 and was one of the operators at KC4USA. Mount Wyman, Antactica is named for him.

Rex R. Stillwell, ex-nu5ADP, enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on October 22, 1927. His first duty was with the Marine Detachment aboard the U.S.S. Florida at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. In 1928 he was assigned to the power unit section of U.S. Naval Radio Station NAZ, Managua, Nicaragua and was second chief operator of NN7NIC. He rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel in the Marine Corps.
