KH6MG/ZK1 1958 Danger Island, North Cook Islands

Leo W. Honea, KH6MG, WA3ADB, W0GE (Silent Key 2000).

He was an employee of the National Bureau of Standards as early as 1946 and held key positions. In 1966 he was the engineer-in-charge of WWV in Maryland and on December 1, 1966 when WWV began operation in Fort Collins, Colorado he was the engineer-in-charge of WWV in Fort Collins. In 1946, as a civilian, he visited Palmyra Island, but the purpose of his visit is not known.

This must be one of the oldest cards I have seen from North Cooks and Puka Puka is the rarest of the North Cook Atolls.
