Journal of Science April 1867 which contains an article entitled THE NATURAL HISTORY OF PRATAS ISLAND IN THE CHINA SEA by Dr Cuthbert Collingwood a Naturalist on board HMS Serpent a British Surveying Ship. The article is of historical interest and refers to a survey made earlier in 1858.
