ZS1SW 1952 South Africa

Regarding Albert Solomon ZS1SW, he was a friend of our family. A very clever electronics man who experimented with transmitting LIVE TV to another radio ham about 40 miles away, before it was allowed in South Africa around 1952. He was also a brilliant oil painting artist & I have a few of his works. He died at the wheel of his car from a massive heart attack about 20 years ago. He was one of the nicest guys you could have met. He was about 60 yrs old. He had a radio repairs business as well as an Ice cream factory & we were always given a box full of ice cream, he was so generous.
