This is a photo of the island of St. Pierre, notice Gus FP8AP in the photo. Gus was at this location to greet W2ORA (FP8AO) & W3MYL (FP8AV) who were there to put on a DXpedition. They made 1111 contacts starting July 10, 1958.

Left is the only licensed ham on St. Pierre Gus Roblat FP8AP, center Gilles "Pag" Page VE2ABE who operated as FP8BG, and Rene, a SWL on the right.

Walt W1KNU / FP8BI and Gus FP8AP. Gus assisted many DXpeditioneers to FP8. This is Gus' s 26' boat. 1959 Photo.

This is the traditional room #8 at the Robert Hotel where most of the previous FP8 DXpeditions have operated.
Sitting on the table is Gus Boblot FP8AP, guiding light and welcoming committee of many FP8 DXpeditions.
