W6AM 1953, Don Wallace, Rolling Hills, California

In 1926 Don Wallace started his company that became Wallace and Wallace. He was the first president. When he died, his son Bill became the second president. Eventually Ron Camp, K6EVR, became the third president. They were MFR's reps for various electric and electronic components. One of Don's earliest accounts that he represented was RME. As of today, Wallace and Wallace has been dissolved. Times have changed. This 92 year old company is now history.

The 1940 census lists 2 sons in W6AM's household: Bill and Don Jr. I believe Don Jr. (born circa 1925)  was W6CXJ.

I just had a chat with Ron Camp K6EVR, who verified everything as correct.  Bill and Don Jr. have both passed way. Bill was the oldest and lived the longest.
The company was closed in May, 2018. Ron knew nothing about Don Sr. going to FP8.
K6EVR has recently become very active again, chasing DX.
Ron bought his house in 1964 from Joe, W6CYV, who had been a very active DXer in the '50s and was a honorary member of the Southern California DX Club.
