The operator"s full name is George Denholm Whittet.
He is known with the nickname "Scotty,", because he was born in Glasgow, Scotland.
He came to the United States in 1906. W6BQI was the only callsign he ever had.
He served in the U.S. Navy April 6, 1917 to October 22, 1919.
He became interested with the railroad:  In 1920 he was employed as a fireman on a locomotive.
In 1930 He was employed as an engineer. In 1940 and 1950 He was a locomotive engineer.
He was born April 25,1890 in Scotland. He died September 23, 1974.
