It was not unusual for amateur stations to contact non-amateur stations during the 1920s. No frequency is mentioned on the card, but in 1925 "The Bulletin Almanac and Yearbook" lists WSAG operating on 266 meters.
WSAG was the first station to be licensed in St. Petersburg, Florida. Loren V. Davis was licensed to operate WSAG on 1230 kcs (first listed on June 30, 1922). He later went into partnership with George Prestman, Sr.
Loren was born July 22, 1898 in Omaha, Nebraska, son of Joseph S. Davis and Nellie Vanderbeck, and died March 21, 1926 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
