W9TQL 1959 Winfield, Illinois

Tom,
My father was a ham radio operator in the 50's and early 60's. I would spend Saturday afternoons with him in his radio room filing his QSL cards and stamping the cards to be sent in the mail. After his death his supply of cards was thrown away. I am looking for a copy of his own QSL card. His call was W9TQL out of Winfield, Illinois. Do you have any suggestions for how to go about finding one of his old cards?

Hi Liz,
I do know someone who has it. I emailed him for the scan. There is a good chance that I also have the card. I do have the 9's seperated (1930 - 1959) but not alphabetized. There are several thousand. It would take more time than I have to look through them. If you are ever in eastern Ohio, Trumbull County area, you are welcome to come over and look through them.

Tom,
Thank you so much for your time. I have such a clear picture in my mind of his card. It would mean so much to be able to get one.
Thank you again.
Liz

Hi Tom,
Thanks for your forward of this QSL Card request. The Old QSL Card W9TQL is dated 07-06-1959 from Bill Nolan of Winfield, IL and sent to Tom Hughes K2JGG in Morris Plains, NJ. I have attached the card for your review. Please feel free to display this card on your page and I would appreciate the credit. The more ways for people to find our work, the happier we are.... Also you can ask Bill's (W9TQL) daughter to email me and we can make arrangement for her if she wants to obtain the card.
Thanks again Tom and 73 from Horse Shoe, NC
