Operator: Charles Elmer Gott was born in New Ross, IN on 5/10/1890. He became bedfast in 1924.
He married Bertha B. Smith in 1927. He operated a filling station on State Route 34 (Now known as U.S. 136).
The town is only .32 square miles and as of the 2010 census there were only 347 people living there.
It appears from this card dated he sent in 1938 that he was able to type responses or had someone around to help him.
He was able to operate a magazine business from his bedside.
He also had his best friend German Sheppard to keep him company.
He died of a stroke on 8/17/1941 at age 51.
