Operator: Everett Mallette Davis

Everett was born April 19th, 1897 and served in the U.S. Army as a Private. He was rated as an Expert Radio Operator which is why he went to the Army.
He was a member of the Tri-City Amateur Radio Club. In 1956 he married Celia G. Fox. Celia G. Fox held the call sign W5JAL when she was married to her first husband James Alfred Phares.
Alfred was also licensed and had the call W5ITO. Celia’s father was Henry Wesley Fox who built his first radio set in 1919. Henry would eventually become licensed in 1938 as W0QQC.
He was reportedly an expert in code and taught it to others. Henry had 5 sons & 5 daughters. One of his other daughters Laura married Frank Reddig who was W0ILA.
