K0EJU 1957 Des Moines, Iowa

K0EJU Dan W. Lester, a retired Professor, librarian and network manager. His first ticket was at age 12 from Des Moines, Iowa. He also held K9PKJ and W1AER. In May, 1963, Dan worked on the staff of 73 Magazine in N.H. Dan said "I believe the mold was broken when Wayne Green W2NSD was hatched". I last saw him in 1969, but will always be a key in forming me, my career and my life. Dan went on with his impressive education; Bakersfield College, Monmouth College, Northern Illinois Univ., Univ. of Chicago, Minnesota State Univ., Mankato, Univ. of New Mexico. His final years serving at Boise State Univ. in 2008. He is now 100% retired - enjoys daily duplicate bridge and manages a bridge club, active in his church in St. George, Utah.
