Notice the handwritten address
in the upper corner of this QSL - "716 So. Popular." It
was the address of Frank F. Tiffany, W9DEB.
A rare N9 callsign from 1939. This seems to be a US Navy
operation. Most callsigns issued in the 1930's started with
"W".
It was not unusual for a HAM who was a member of the Naval
Reserve to replace the "W" on his callsign with an
"N" and get on the air.
