W5DOK 1937 Melville, Louisiana

Operator: W5DOK Charles (Challie) Culley 1902-1959 of Melville, La.  He apparently ran the Able Hotel with the family. His nephew Grundy James spent summers with Uncle Challie and said his Uncle was gifted in radio and called into special service during WWII. "His favorite tale was Uncle Challie throwing his voice in the graveyard."
