Read the Tribute to Richard Cotton W8DX

I did know two fellows in the 1960's with K 1x2 callsigns. K8DX, he originally had W8DX and let it lapse. When he went to get it again, Dick Cotton, FCC Engineer in Charge in Detroit, got it through some behind the scenes finagling. Cotton helped the fellow get K8DX so he wouldn't have to give it up. I also knew a fellow with K8SS back in the '60s with a similar sort of story.
